• Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly washed cars, and blow debris away. • After using blowers and other equipment, CLEAN UP! Dispose of debris in trash receptacles. TIPS FOR BEST TRIMMING RESULTS • Keep the cutting attachment parallel to the ground. • Cut from left to right whenever possible. Cutting to the right improves the unit's cutting efficiency. Clippings are thrown away from the operator. • Trim only when grass and weeds are dry. • The life of your cutting line is dependent upon: -Following the trimming tips -What vegetation is being cut -Where vegetation is being cut DECORATIVE TRIMMING Decorative trimming is accomplished by removing all vegetation around trees, posts, fences and more. Rotate the whole unit so that the cutting attachment is at a 30° angle to the ground (Fig. 9). 30. WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury and damage to the unit, shut the unit off before removing or installing attachments. MAINTENANCE & REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS CLEANING Use a small brush to clean off the outside of the unit. Do not use strong detergents. Household cleaners that contain aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and solvents such as kerosene, can damage plastic housing or handle. Wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth. Also keep the air vents free of obstructions. STORAGE • Allow the unit to cool before storing. • Lock the unit to prevent unauthorized use or damage. • Store the unit in a dry, well-ventilated area. • Store the unit out of the reach of children. To Use the Hanger To use the hanger, make sure that the attachment is removed from the unit. 1. Place the hanger on the end of the attachment and slide down until it touches the release button (Fig. 10). 2. Press the release button and hold it in. 3. Slide the hanger over the depressed release button. 4. Adjust the hanger so that the release button clicks into the any of the holes in the hanger.
