Do not put any objects like sticks or fingers in holes of impeller cover. 4. Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire before attempting to clean obstructions or blockage from the intake or discharge passages. 5. Stop the engine and allow it to cool for at least two minutes before refilling the gas tank or before lifting leaf blower. 6. Do not put a vacuum kit of any kind on this machine. Foreign objects entering the impeller housing will destroy the impeller and may cause injury. Maintenance Instructions 1. Follow the service and maintenance instructions for the engine specified by the manufacturer. 2. If it becomes necessary to remove the impeller from the engine, disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the impeller cover, and remove the impeller retaining bolt (item 11) holding the impeller on the crankshaft. The impeller is now free to slide off the engine shaft. 3. When reassembling the impeller, install the square key (item 8), align the key way in the impeller hub and slide the impeller into place. With the impeller fully seated on the engine shaft, install the lockwasher and retaining bolt. 4.
