By doing this, you help to preser ve the environment. Straighten your hair Ensure that you select a temperature setting that is suitable for your hair. Always select a low setting when you use the straightener for the first time. Hair Type Temperature Setting Coarse, curly, hard-to-straighten Mid to High (170°C - 199°C) Fine, medium-textured or softly waved Low to Mid (160°C and below) Pale, blonde, bleached or color-treated Low (Below 160°C) 1 Connect the plug to a power supply socket. 2 Press and hold the button ( ) until the LCD screen lights up. » The default temperature setting is displayed on the LCD screen ( ). 3 Press the temperature buttons ( ) to select a suitable temperature setting for your hair. » When the straightening plates have heated up to the selected temperature, the indication ‘READY’ ( ) is displayed. » Note: If no button is pressed over 4 seconds, the key-lock function will activate automatically, with all the buttons on the appliance deactivated. When the key-lock function is activated, the key-lock indication ( ) is displayed on the LCD screen.To deactivate the key-lock function, slide and hold the key-lock button ( ) for 1.5 seconds. » Tip: To avoid unintentional switching of buttons during process, you can also activate the key-lock function manually by sliding and holding the key-lock button ( ). » Note: The appliance is equipped with an auto-shut off function. Hold the straightener in that position for 2 to 3 seconds, and then release it. 8 After 20 seconds, repeat step 6 and 7 until you achieve the desired look. 9 To straighten the rest of your hair, repeat steps 6 to 8.
