We advise star ting off at about 8 to 10 seconds. If you want heavier curls then leave the tongs on the hair for longer. Less time for lighter curls. USE Always plug the appliance into the mains when in the “0” position. Then choose the desired heat setting on the power selector. The Cold Air position reduces the temperature considerably and allows it to cool down rapidly af ter st yling. For ease of use and greater mobilit y the Cold Air button is dual function: In the (•) position the Cold Air function will remain on permanently. In the (P) position Cold Air will only be produced while the button is being pressed. (Fig. 1) Warning: Check that the Cold Air switch is in the (P) position whenever you wish to use hot air. CONTINUOUS IONISATION This hairdr yer is equipped with a system to generate negative ions and which starts to work as soon as you switch the hairdr yer on and for as long as it is being used. The action of the negative ions reduces the size of the water droplets to make dr ying easier and allowing the hair to absorb much more water. This produces softer, shiner, hydrated hair that is much easier to comb. (Fig. 2) ATTACHING & REPLACING ACCESSORIES -To attach an accessor y to the main body, line up the ( . ) mark on the accessor y with the ( ) mark on the main body and turn it in a clockwise direction so that the (.) and ( ) marks line up. You should hear it click into position. (fig 4). -To remove an accessor y, press the “lock accessor y button” and turn the accessor y in an anti-clock wise direction until it comes off. (fig. 5). RETRACTABLE BRISTLE BRUSH To create loose curls in short - mid-length hair. Attach the brush to the main body, as described in the Attach & Remove Accessories section. Select a strand of hair and roll it around the brush. Make sure that the ends of the strand is rolled in the desired direction. If the hair is rolled at right angles to the scalp this will give your hair body and maximum volume. Switch the appliance on by selecting the speed setting (1) changing it to position 2 whenever necessary and until you notice the hair is hot to the touch. To finish off, you can aim a jet of cold air at the hair to set the style. Remove the brush from the hair by pressing the open lever and switching the appliance off. To put waves in long hair. CURLING TONG To put curls in any type or length of hair. Open the tongs by pressing the Open lever and place a strand of hair between the tong and the barrel. Make sure that the ends of the strand are rolled in the desired direction. The finer the strand of hair the stronger the curl will be, try not to roll too much hair at once and avoid curling the same strand of hair more than twice. Switch the appliance on by selecting the speed setting (1) changing it to position 2 whenever necessary until you notice that it is hot to the touch. To finish off, you can aim a jet of cold air at the hair to set the style for longer lasting results. To produce cold air, press the Cold Air push-button/switch. Switch the appliance off and turn the curling tong in the opposite direction so that you can open the pincer. HAIR IRON This accessory can be used to straighten hair. To do this, divide the hair up into strands, place one strand in between the plates, pressing and sliding them gently along from the root to the tip. Select the maximum heat setting and as soon as you notice that your hair is dry repeat the operation but with a jet of cold air, as this will set the style and give longer lasting results. CONCENTRATOR NOZZLE The air concentrator helps you to direct the air flow or to dry a specific area. CLEANING Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply before proceeding to clean it. Put it in a safe place and let it cool down. Clean the appliance with a small brush or a dry cloth. STORAGE Unplug the appliance from the mains.
