Press the TV SPEAKERS button located on back of Receiver to turn INT. SPEAKERS “ON”. NOTE: For model CT-3268SD the TV Speakers ON/OFF is located in the Audio menu. Set volume of audio amp to near minimum. Adjust volume of TV to desired listening level. Adjust volume of audio amp to match the level of TV. Press the TV SPEAKERS button located on back of Receiver to turn INT. SPEAKERS “OFP. NOTE: For model CT-3268SD select TV SPEAKERS “OFF&VAO ” Mode. (Refer to the Audio Menu TV Speakers section.) Volume and mute can now be controlled by the TV Remote Control. NOTE: For Model CT-3268SD only, when selecting TV SPEAKERS “OFF&FAO” Mode, the TV sound output is always at a constant level and cannot be changed (Refer to the Audio Menu TV Speakers section). 6. Connect optional equipment as shown to Rear Audio/Video Input Jacks. 2. Select the Video mode by pressing the TVA/IDEO button. 3. Operate optional equipment as instructed in Optional Equipment manual. TERMINALS ON BACK OF VCR -8- Picture in Picture Operation With VCR And Cable Box This Television contains the “PICTURE IN PICTURE” feature. For proper operation of this feature, a second video source is required (such as a VCR). We recommend that you connect your television as shown below. FOR MODEL CT-2768SD TERMINALS ON BACK OF TV VCR or VIDEO DISC PLAYER CABLE BOX Incoming Cable From Antenna Or Cable TV System ^57" Signal Splitter (Not Supplied) (Cables Not Supplied) FOR MODEL CT-3268SD TERMINALS ON BACK OF TV VCR or VIDEO DISC PLAYER Incoming Cable From Antenna Or Cable TV System (Cables Not Supplied) Operation 1. Connect the TV, VCR and Cable Box as shown in the diagram. 2. Press the PIP button on the TV remote to display the PIP frame. 3. The source in the PIP frame will be the same as the main picture. Press the TV NI DEO button on the remote to select the VCR source. 4. Pressing the TV/VIDEO button repeatedly will change the PIP source from TV to Video inputs, and starts over with TV. 5. To see a different program in the PIP frame, first turn on the cable converter box. Make sure the VCR is on and tuned to channel 3. Choose a channel on the cable box. NOTE: Press the SWAP button on the remote control to switch the main picture and PIP frame picture. -9- 0 © © © © Location of Controls Television Remote Control Sensor Power Button - Press to turn ON or OFF. Volume Buttons - Press to adjust Sound Level. Press to adjust Audio Menus, Video Menus and select operating features when menus are displayed. Channel Buttons - Press to select programmed channels. Press to highlight desired features when menus are displayed. Action Button - Press to display Main Menu and access On Screen feature and Adjustment Menus. TV/Video Button - Press to select TV or Video Inputs. -10- Location of Controls Remote Power Button Press to turn ON or OFF. TV/Video Button Press to select TV or one of two Video Inputs, for the Main Picture or the PIP frame (when the PIP frame is displayed). Volume Buttons Press to adjust TV sound level. Use with Channel buttons to navigate in menus. Keypad Buttons Press desired channel number to randomly access any channel. R-Tune (Rapid Tune) Button Press to switch to the previous channel. VCR Function Buttons Programmable to operate many brands of VCR’s. TV/VCR/CABLE Switch This switch is used to select the proper mode when programming Remote Control Infrared codes or operating the TV or external equipment (VCR or Cable box). PIP Move Button Press to position PIP frame to any corner of the Main Picture (when PIP frame is displayed). PIP Freeze Button Press to stop action in the Main Picture or PIP frame (when the PIP frame is displayed). Mute Button Press to mute sound. A second press resumes sound. Press also to access and delete Closed Caption. Multi Button Programmable to operate up to six Remote Control Function buttons simultaneously. Channel Buttons Press to select channels. Use with Volume buttons to navigate in menus. Action Button Press to display Main Menu and access or exit On Screen feature and Adjustment Menus. Recall Button Press to display Time, status of Sleep Timer, Channel, Video Mode, Channel Caption (Station Identifier) and Audio Mode. Cable Power Button - Programmable to operate selected CATV converter boxes. PIP (Picture In Picture) Button Press to display the PIP frame, press again to remove PIP frame. PIP Swap Button Press to interchange PIP frame with Main Picture (when the PIP frame is displayed). PIP Size Button Press to select size of PIP frame (when the PIP frame is displayed).
