If a CAM is inserted and subscription fees are paid, you can watch the channel. The applications, functions, the content and the onscreen messages vary for each CAM service. What you need Caution: To protect the CAM from damage, insert the CAM according to these instructions. Notes: . This TV supports CI as well as CI+. CI+ allows service providers to offer premium HD digital programmes with a high level of copy protection. . Refer to the documentation from your service operator on how to insert a smart card into the Conditional Access Module. 1. Switch off the TV. 2. The TV does not respond to remote control or front controls when switched on The TV requires some time to start up. During this time, the TV does not respond to the remote control or front controls. This is normal behavior. The standby light on the TV blinks red: Disconnect the power cable from the power outlet. Wait until the TV cools down before you reconnect the power cable. If the blinking reoccurs, contact Philips Consumer Care. You forgot the code to unlock the child lock feature: Enter ‘8888’. The TV menu is in the wrong language: Change the TV menu to your preferred language. For more information, see Set up your TV > Menu language (Page 37). When you are turning the TV on, off or to standby, you hear a creaking sound from the TV chassis: No action is required. The creaking sound is due to the normal expansion and contraction of the TV as it cools and warms up. This does not affect performance. When the TV is in standby, a startup splash screen is displayed, then returns to standby mode: This is normal behavior. When the TV is disconnected and reconnected to the power supply, the startup screen is displayed at the next startup.
