To minimise environmental waste, specialist companies collect used appliances and dismantle them after retrieving any materials that can be used again (ask your dealer for further details). English 1 2The television set has 5 keys which are locatedon the front or the top of the set dependingon the model. The on/off key switches the TV seton and off. TheVOLUME-+(-”+)keysareusedtoadjustsoundlevels.ThePROGRAM-+(-P+ or-+)keysareusedtoselecttherequiredprogrammes.To access the menus, simultaneously hold down the ”- and ”+ keys.The PROGRAM- + keys may then beused to select an adjustment and the -”+ keys to make that adjustment. To exit from the menus,hold down the 2 ”- and”+ keys. Note:when the Child Lockfunction is activated, these keys are unavailable (refer to Featuresmenu on page 7). &Positioning the television setPlace yourTV on a solid,stable surface,leavinga space of at least 5 cm around the appliance. Toavoid accidents,do not put anything on theset such as a cloth or cover,a container full ofliquid (vase) or a heat source (lamp).The setmust not be exposed to water. eConnections•Insert the aerial plug into the :socket atthe rear of the set. •For the versions equipped with a radio: insert the radio aerial socket into the FMANT socket using the adapter supplied. Ifyouareusinganindooraerial,receptionmaybedifficultincertainconditions.Youcanimprovereceptionbyrotatingtheaerial.Ifthereceptionremainspoor,youwillneedtouseanexternalaerial. •Insert the mains plug into a wall socket (220- 240V / 50 Hz). “Remote controlInsert the two R6-type batteries (supplied) making sure that they are the right way round.
