Remove all packing materials and literature. 2. Wash the cooking surface by wiping with a sponge or cloth dampened with hot water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. NOTE: Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Do not immerse the Cupcake Maker in water. How to Operate CAUTION: Unit gets very hot, use pot holder when touching hot unit. 1. Place the unit on a flat, level surface. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet. The Green indicator light will turn on. 2. Allow the unit to preheat for about 3 minutes before cooking. The Red ready light will turn on when the correct temperature is reached. 3. The unit is now ready to start baking. You can brush with a cooking oil or place butter for flavor on the cooking plates. 4. Fill the cups to 3/4 full. 5. Close the lid. Cook approximately 3 minutes or until brown on both sides. Note, the red “ready” light will turn on and off as the to keep the correct cooking temperature. Check for doneness by lifting the handle. Note: Cooking times will vary. The unit gets very hot and cooks fast. 6. When done, unplug, then carefully remove the food from the unit with a plastic utensil. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 2. Allow the appliance to cool completely. 3. Wash the cooking surface with warm soapy water using a sponge or soft cloth.
