Activating and deactivating the childproof lock. The hob must be switched off. Press the @ symbol for approx. 4 seconds. The indicator next to the @ symbol lights up for 10 seconds. The hob is locked. To deactivate: press the @ symbol for approx. 4 seconds. The hob is unlocked. Note: The childproof lock can be accidentally activated by the presence of water spilled while cleaning, food that has spilled over or objects resting on the @ symbol. Automatic childproof lock This function automatically activates the childproof lock every time you switch the hob off. Switching on and off You can find out how to switch the automatic childproof lock on and off in the Basic settings section. Powerboost function The Powerboost function can be used to heat large amounts of water more quickly than the power level S. All the hotplates have this function. To activate The hob must be switched on, but no hotplate should be working. 1. Select the required hotplate. 2. Select the power level S. 3. Then press the + symbol. The › symbol lights up in the display. The powerboost function has been activated. Note: If any hotplate is switched on when the Powerboost function is working, › and S will flash on the hotplate display; the power level S will then be set. The Powerboost function will be deactivated. To turn off Select the hotplate and press the -symbol. The › indicator will no longer be displayed and the hotplate will return to the power level S. The Powerboost function has been deactivated. Note: In certain circumstances, the Powerboost function may turn off automatically in order to protect the electronic components inside the hob. Time program function This function allows the selected hotplate to be switched off automatically after a preset time by inserting the cooking time. Programming the cooking time The hob must be switched on. 1. Select the required hotplate and power level. 2. Press the 0 symbol. The rear hotplate ‹‹ indicators light up and the indicator light above them flashes. The indicator light next to the xsymbol on the corresponding hotplate lights up. 3. Press the + or -symbol. The recommended value appears. Symbol + 30 minutes Symbol -10 minutes 4. Press the + or -symbol until the required cooking time appears. After 5 seconds, the timer begins to count downThe power levels reappear on the hotplates. Once the time has elapsed The hotplate switches off. A beep sounds and the ‹ indicator lights up. Press the 0 symbol. The indicators go out and the beep stops. To cancel or change the time Select the hotplate with the ± symbol. Press the 0 symbol and change the cooking time using the + or -symbols, or set to ‹‹. Note: Any cooking time can be programmed up to 99 minutes. Basic settings The device has several basic settings. To not exceed this maximum value, the hob includes a series of components that automatically control the power, distributing it between the hotplates in use as required. Accessing the basic settings 4. Then select the required setting using the + and -symbols. The setting appears on the upper right of the display. The hob should be turned off. 1. Turn on the hob. 2.
