Touch the images you want to delete. The indicator ( ) is displayed on the selected images. Touching the thumbnail image toggles the image between being selected for deletion ( ) or not selected. Touch the ( ) tab. The selected images are deleted. All Files: Deletes all images. • • • Deleted images cannot be recovered. • Do not eject a memory card or power off the camcorder while deleting videos or photos recorded on the storage media. Doing so may damage the storage media or data. • You can also operate this function in the full and single image display modes. • To protect important images from accidental erasure, activate the image protection function in advance. page 73 • You cannot delete protected files. Cancel the protect function first. page 73 • If the write protection tab on the memory card is set to lock, you cannot delete images. • The delete function does not work if the battery charge is insufficient. We recommend you use the AC adaptor to ensure the camera has continuous power when deleting. Editing files Delete My Clip You can delete the My Clip tags from a video tagged as ‘My Clip’. • Insert a memory card. page 34 • Set the appropriate storage media. My Clip Creation Start Preview Submenu items Creation Start: Combines the tagged scenes sequentially, saves and locates it as a video at the last file position on the video thumbnail view. Preview: Previews the tagged scenes sequentially. • • • While previewing the scenes tagged as ‘My Clip’, you cannot drag the progressive bar on the LCD screen. • If there is not enough storage space available in the media storage to create new files from tagged videos tagged as ‘My Clip’ the Creation Start tab will be dimmed. Protect You can protect important recordings from accidental erasure. The protected videos and photos cannot be deleted unless you format the memory card or cancel the protection. • Insert a memory card. page 34 • Set the appropriate storage media. Touch “Yes.” • If you selected “All On,” the ( ) indicator appears on all files. • If you selected “All Off,” the ( ) indicator disappears from all protected files. • If you selected “Select Files,” the indicator appears on the files you selected for protection and disappears from the files you removed protection from.
