Tape position is displayed for VHS-C Cassettes type, tapes under 30 minutes, and some other tapes, but the position is not correct. Press TAPE POSITION to detect current tape1 position. DETECT I NG TAPE POS I T I ON • “DETECTING TAPE POSITION” only appears the BEGIN END first time a cassette is inserted and it takes several seconds for correct indication to appear. • The present tape position indication is displayed. TAPE POSITION 2 2 Press TAPE POSITION (or wait 5 seconds) to return to the normal screen.
