(Fig. 1) CAUTION: Always set the flange-back adjusting ring to fully clockwise (C-mount side) by loosing screws on the ring before mounting the lens. The inner glass and CCD image sensor might be damaged by the lens otherwise. (2) a) Installation for Color Camera Mount the automatic iris zoom lens onto the lens mount of camera by rotating it gently clockwise until it stops. Then turn the lens furthermore with a little bit stronger torque to the desired position. (Fig. 2) - 2 - b) Installation for Black/White Camera Precaution: When this lens is used with a B/W camera, in order to have an optimum definition, the glass-block and flange-back adjusting palte should be attached with. (b-1) Insert a glass-block by rotating clockwise onto the lens and put a flange-back adjusting plate on the lens. (b-2) Then mount the lens onto the lens mount of camera by rotating them gently clockwise until they stop. Then turn the lens furthermore with a little bit stronger torque to the desired position, (Fig. 3) (3) Set the lens to flat position by turning lens counterclockwise. (4) Connect the 4 pin ALC lens cable to the camera's connector on the side of camera. Steps (5), (6) and (7) are applicable for WV-CL110 and WV-BL90A cameras. (5) Remove two lens supporter fixing screws on the lens. The lens supporter can be mounted on the camera either from top side or bottom side. (6) Mount the lens supporter to the lens with two fixing screws. (7) Mount the lens supporter to the camera with camera (8) Connect the 4 pin zoom and focus cable to the remote control unit. - 3- Flange-back Adjustment When an automatic iris zoom lens WV-LZ83/6 is installed on the camera, the camera will focus from 1,2m to infinity (00). For a zoom lens, the flange-back can be adjusted with following procedure. (1) Loosen the flange-back adjusting ring fixing screws. (2) Set zoom lens at tele position. (3) Adjust the focus ring on the lens for best focus. (4) Set zoom lens at wide position. (5) Adjust the flange-back adjusting ring for best focus. (6) Zoom in again and adjust the focus ring on the lens for best focus. (7) Zoom out again and adjust the flange-back adjusting ring for best focus. (0) Repeat the process (2) - (7) until the focus tracks over the zoom range of the lens. (9) Tighten the flange-back adjusting ring fixing screws. Flange-back adjusting ring CAUTION: Do not turn this ring too much counterclockwise as this might damage the inner glass and CCD image sensor.
