The rotary selector is retractable.To engage and disengage, depress the rotary selector. Display The display is divided into different areas: Status line Direction of rotation display 01* & ,2 Status line Settings areas Direction of rotation display Settings areas The Status line indicates the time, the selected fan mode and the information text. The settings areas indicate suggested values which you can change. The active settings area is lit. By pressing the relevant Function button, you can change from one settings area to the next. b =Turn rotary selector to the right c =Turn rotary selector to the left If both direction arrows dare displayed, you can turn the rotary selector in either direction. Standard settings NOTE Change language Set time Button sound Clock display NOTE Before switching on the appliance, always follow the instructions and warnings in the chapter entitled ”Safety instructions”. If required, set the language for the text display. German has been preset. The changes to the standard settings will not take effect until the extractor hood has been switched off. Each change can be saved by holding down the t button or deleted by pressing the w button. 1. Hold down thet button for approx. 3 seconds.The ”Standard settings” menu is opened. The ”Language” settings area is lit. 2. Set the language with the rotary selector. && 3& * 3. Press thet button to switch to the next settings area. The ”Set time” settings area is lit. 1. Set the time with the rotary selector. 2. Press the t button to switch to the next settings area. The ”Button sound” settings area is lit. 1. Switch the button sound on or off with the rotary selector. 2. Press the t button to switch to the next settings area. The ”Clock display” settings area is lit. 1. Switch the clock display on or off with the rotary selector. Please note that when the clock display is switched off, there is no display either when the extractor hood is in an idle state or in operating mode. 2. Press the t button to switch to the next settings area. Standard settings Timer Select run-on time Select intermittent time Exhaust air / circulating air Confirmation of standard setting The ”Timer” settings area is lit. 1. Using the rotary selector, set the preferred time (5, 10 or 15 minutes). 2. Press thet button to switch to the next settings area. The ”Run-on time” settings area is lit. 1. Set the preferred time with the rotary selector. 2. Press thet button to switch to the next settings area. The ”Intermittent time” settings area is lit. 1. Set the intermittent time with the rotary selector. 2. Press thet button to switch to the next settings area. The extractor hood can be used in exhaust air and circulating air mode. 1. Select the ”Exhaust air/Circulating air” settings area. 2. Set the operating mode with the rotary selector. 34*34* && 3&34*0* && 3& Press the t button for approx. 3 seconds.The changes to the standard settings are accepted. Operation Switch on the fan and select the fan settings Switch off the fan Intensive setting (fan setting 4) Fan run-on It is recommended to switch on the blower when you start cooking and not to switch it off again until several minutes after you have finished cooking. In this way the kitchen fumes are removed most effectively. Press the w button. The appliance automatically switches to fan setting 2. 01* & ,2 Select the required fan setting by pressing the corresponding Function button (1-3). Press the w button. The Intensive setting generates maximum performance. It can be used if thick fumes or strong odours occur temporarily. Press Function button 4. If the Intensive setting is not switched off by hand, the fan automatically switches back to setting 2 after 10 minutes. Press the+ button. 01* & ,2 !" The fan runs at the selected setting for the set time. Then the fan switches off automatically. Operation Light Set timer The light can be switched on and off independently of the fan. 01* & ,#2 !" 1. Press the 0 button. The ”Light” area is selected automatically. 2. Set the required luminosity with the rotary selector. The selected luminosity is indicated on the display. The timer runs independently of the extractor hood. 1. Press the W button. The preset running time of the timer is displayed. 01* & 2 " !" 2. The running time of the timer can be changed with the rotary selector. 3. The time runs automatically. The elapsing time is indicated on the display. When the time has elapsed, a signal sounds. Press the W button to end the signal early. Operation Intermittent Intermittent ventilation can be used to ventilate the kitchen Saturation displays Grease filters hourly for the preset time. 1. Press theu button.The ”Intermittent”area is selected automatically. 5* " & ,2 2. Select a fan setting (except fan setting 4). Intermittent ventilation starts automatically.The display switches back toidle stateafter the set time has elapsed. The...
