Release bars Cutter block Shaver head base 8d 8e A How to epilate • Your skin must be dry and free from grease or cream. • Before starting, thoroughly clean the epilation head 2. • Put on the epilation head and make sure that the EverSoft attachment 1 is in place. • Plug the cord connector 6into the socket 5and plug the transformer plug 7into an electrical outlet. 1 To turn on the appliance, slide switch 4to setting «2» («2»= normal speed, «1» = reduced speed). 2 Rub your skin to lift short hairs. For optimal performance, hold the appliance at a right angle (90°) against your skin and guide it without pressure against the hair growth, in the direction of the switch. Both rolls of the EverSoft attachment should always be kept in contact with the skin, allowing the pulsating movements to stimulate and relax the skin for a gentler epilation. 3 Leg epilation Epilate your legs from the lower leg in an upward direction. When epilating behind the knee, keep the leg stretched out straight. 4 Underarm and bikini line epilation Use tests monitored by dermatologists have revealed that you can also epilate the underarm and the bikini line. Please be aware that these areas are particularly sensitive to pain. With repeated usage the pain sensation will diminish. Before epilating, thoroughly clean the respective area to remove residue (like deodorant). Then carefully dab dry with a towel. When epilating the underarm, keep your arm raised up and guide the appliance in different directions. Cleaning the epilation head 5 After epilating, unplug the appliance and clean the epilation head: First take off the EverSoft attachment 1and brush out the rolls. 6 Thoroughly clean the tweezer element with the cleaning brush and also with alcohol. While cleaning, you can turn the tweezer element manually. To remove the epilation head, press the release buttons 3on the left and right and pull it off. 7 Give the top of the housing a quick clean with the brush. Replace the epilation head and the EverSoft attachment. B Shaving 1 Remove the OptiTrim attachment H. Put on the shaver head by clicking it in (the long hair trimmer should be in front). 2 When using the shaver head, always slide switch up to setting «2». 3 For best results, guide the shaving system in a way that about half of the shaving foil and the trimmer are in contact with your skin. Always guide the appliance in the direction of the trimmer. The trimmer first raises all long hairs and cuts them off. Then the flexible foil follows to smooth away any stubble. Pre-cutting hair for epilation 4 When using the shaver head to pre-cut your hair to the ideal length for epilation, put on the OptiTrim attachment. 5 Hold the appliance with the OptiTrim attachment ensuring that the surface of the comb is lying flat on the skin. Guide the appliance with the comb tips against the hair growth as shown in illustration B5. Important: As hair does not always grow in the same direction, it may be difficult to cut. In which case, guide the appliance slightly diagonally or in different direc tions. Cleaning the shaver head 6 After shaving, unplug the appliance and, if necessary, remove the OptiTrim attachment. 7 Clean the OptiTrim attachment with the brush. 8 In order to clean the shaver head, remove the shaving foil frame. To do so, press the release bars on the front and back and pull it off. 9 Carefully tap the shaving foil frame on a flat surface. 10 Brush out the cutter block as well as the area below the cutter block. 11 Caution: The shaving foil is a very delicate part that must not be cleaned with the brush. 12 We recommend that you oil the trimmer every 3 months with a drop of sewing machine oil. 13 Put the shaving foil frame back on and snap it into place. 14 Replace the OptiTrim attachment because it also serves as a protective cap. Caution: Do not use the shaver head with a damaged shaving foil. Replacing the shaving parts The shaving foil and the cutter block are precision parts that wear out with the time. Have the shaving foil frame and the cutter block replaced when you notice a reduced shaving performance. Subject to change without notice.
