Return the appliance to an authorized service center for examination, repair, or adjustment. Do not attempt to repair this mixer yourself. ¦ The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury. ¦ Do not use outdoors. ¦ Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter. Do not let cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove. ¦ Remove beaters/whisks and spatula attachment from mixer before washing. ¦ Do not use appliance for other than intended use. ¦ Mixing flammable non-food substances may be hazardous. ¦ Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes. ¦ This product is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use. ¦ Do not abuse the cord. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 2 POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug-one blade is wider than the other. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature by modifying the plug in any way. NOTE: The rubberized grip is free of natural rubber and latex. It is safe for use by individuals allergic or sensitive to these materials. 1. Be sure the Mixer is OFF and unplugged before inserting or removing attachments. For models with wire beaters: Since one Beater has a “collar” on its stem while the other doesn’t, each Beater fits only into one opening. Match the “collared” beater to the illustration on the Mixer to help you place it into the correct hole (A). You may have to rotate it slightly until it locks into place. Beaters are not inter-changeable. If a Beater does not lock in after rotating it, check the illustration on the Mixer and be sure you are placing the correct Beater into the appropriate opening. Do not force a Beater into a slot. For models with standard beaters: the Beaters are inter-changeable and either one can be inserted into either hole. 3 How To Use Speed Control Switch A Spatula Attachment Wire Beaters Heel Rest Beater Eject Lever Standard Beaters 2. Plug the Cord into an outlet. 3. Place the ingredients into a bowl, grip the Mixer handle, and position the Beaters in the center of the food to be mixed. 4. Select the appropriate speed setting for the task (B). See the “Mixing Guide” below. 5. Guide the Beaters continuously through the mixture for uniform mixing. For models with standard beaters: If you want to scrape the bowl using a hand held utensil, be sure to turn the Speed Control Switch OFF. Place the Mixer on the Heel Rest so that batter can drain into the bowl (C). For models with wire beaters: See “Using the Spatula Attachment” for bowl scraping. 6. Be sure the mixer is off and unplugged. To remove the Beaters, push the Beater Eject Lever down. CAUTION: Be care ful when ejecting the Beaters since they come out of the Mixer quickly. You may want to eject them into the bowl or into a sink. B C Mixing Guide Use the following guide for speed selections.
