Never turn off the power while this screen is being displayed. 10 Using the RSS-303 with a Rodgers Organ ■ Muting Ambience Sound Use this operation when you wish to mute only the reverberant sound added by the RSS ambience system. • Temporarily mute ambience sound. □ 1 Press the [MUTE] button. Only the ambience sound is muted. The direct sound is not muted. • Cancel muting. □ 2 From the muted state, press the [MUTE] button again. Muting is also cancelled when you select a user program. Using the RSS-303 by Itself Turning on Power * Once the connections have been completed (p. S), turn on power to various devices in the order specified. By turning on devices in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction and/or damage to speakers and other devices. * Always make sure to have the volume level turned down before switching on power. Even with the volume all the way down, you may still hear some sound lohen the power is switched on, but this is normal, and docs not indicate a malfunction. • Turn on the power. □ 1 Press the power switch located on the front panel. The display located in the center of the RSS-303 panel lights, indicating that the power has been turned on. ^ If the power does not turn on, refer to A page 48 c*' page 47 "■Controlling the Power Locally." The method of turning on the power differs depending on your system. If you are using the RSS-303 with a Rodgers organ, refer to "■Remotely Controlling Power." Check. □ 2 Watch the display. However, we recommend that you make settings in the following cases. The display in the center of the RSS-303's front panel darkens, indicating that the power is off. If a separate switch has been provided for controlling the power of the entire system, the NOTE power switch on the RSS-303's front panel should be left on. 12 Using the RSS-303 by Itself ■ Normal Operation Mode • In normal operation mode, the following screen is displayed. This display is just an example; the type name and the icons differ depending on the settings. • You normally use the RSS-303 in this state. In this state, the [VALUE] knob and [EXIT] button do nothing. • From this state, you can perform the following operations. O Press a user program button to recall settings. When recall is completed, the RSS-303 returns to normal operating mode.
