KX-P8415 The KX-P8415 Operating Instructions consist of the following 3 files. • Print.pdf • Mainte.pdf »Spec.pdf These files can be opened by clicking on their names below. The printer’s features are described on the following pages of this file. Settings and Printing (Print.pdf) This section contains information on printer panel, printer driver and printing a document. Care and Maintenance (Mainte.pdf) This section contains information on cleaning the printer, replacing supplies, clearing jams, troubleshooting, error messages and repacking. Specifications (Spec.pdf) This section contains the specifications of the printer, media to be used, software and interface. Please carefully read the Operating Instructions before operating. Keep KX-P8415 CD-ROM in the protective case. Do not expose the CD-ROM to direct sunlight or extreme heat and do not scratch or smudge the surface of the CD-ROM. Features 2 The KX-P8415 Color Laser Printer provides fast, high-quality color printing on plain paper, plus the ease of operation and high performance you expect from a laser printer, including the following. High quality Resolution—maximum 1200 x 1200 dpi (with optional additional memory) High speed Continuous printing on Letter or A4 size paper Full-color mode—Maximum 4 ppm (pages per minute) Three color mode—Maximum 5.3 ppm Monochrome mode—Maximum 16 ppm Color management (see “Settings and Printing”) Agfa CMM (Color Management Module) or ICM (Image Color Management) enables a closer matching between monitor and printed output. ICM is not supported under Windows NT®4.0*1. *1 Microsoft® Windows NT® Workstation operating system, and Microsoft® Windows NT® Server network operating system Version 4.0 (hereafter Windows NT 4.0) Paper handling ■ Media tray: Standard tray (A4 or Letter): 200 sheets using 75 g/m2 (20 lbs.) paper Transparency or legal paper can be used when loaded in an optional tray. ■ Multi-purpose tray: The following media can be used in the multi-purpose tray. • Laser paper • Transparency • Labels • Envelope • Card stock • Coated paper ■ 2nd cassette feeder (option): The 2nd cassette feeder has two tray slots, each of which can hold up to 200 sheets of 75 g/m2 (20 lbs.) paper. Automatic duplex printing (option) (see “Settings and Printing”) Automatic duplex printing is possible when the optional auto duplex printing unit is installed.
