Problems On-screen displays appear each time you adjust a function. There's no sound even when the volume is turned up. You forget the code you used to set the parental lock. You can't program the TV to turn on automatically. The sound doesn't match the image on screen. There is a large black rectangle on the screen. You cannot see a picture when you play a tape in the VCR. Possible Solutions This is part of the normal operation of the TV. Check that the MUTE button isn't; on. The TV's "Listen to:" setting may be set to "second audio program" (S.A.P.). Check that "Speaker" function is set to "On." • Use the alternate procedure that doesn't require the use of the code. • The TV may be locked. • The TV's "Listen to:" setting may be set to "second audio program" (S.A,P.). For maximum enjoyment and safe operation of your Mitsubishi Color TV, please read the "IMPORTt_NT SAFEGUARDS" carefully and apply them properly. Cleaning Normally, light dusting with a non-scratching du,_ter will keep your TV clean. If you want to wipe down your TV, turn it off and unplug it. Then, wipe it gently with a soft cloth slightly moistened with water. You can add a few drops of mild liquid detergent to the water for oily dirt. DO NOT allow liquid to enter the TV through the ventilation slots. DO NOT use strong or abrasive cleaners. DO NOT use spray liquids or cleaners directly on the TV's surface. DO NOT scrub or rub the 'IW harshly. 'Wipe gently. 94 Chapter 5: Troubleshooting Calling for service If you are unable to correct a problem with your YV, consult your Mitsubishi dealer or Mitsubishi Authorized Warranty Service Center.
