The sascheck tool has been updated to properly identify an incorrect cable configuration.
Previously, when the SAS cables to the primary and secondary I/O modules on the disk enclosures
were incorrectly switched, the sascheck tool indicated it was a valid configuration, which could
lead to possible file system corruption. Now, this incorrect configuration is identified as invalid.
•
The diagnostic message in the ibrix_vs -i command output that displays when the management
processor in the MSA2312sa (connected to a 9320) is not accessible has been revised to instruct
users to verify the credentials and the responsiveness of the management processor. Previously,
the message only indicated to verify the management processor's IP address and inspect the
network cable, which could result in an unnecessary hardware replacement.
•
ACL blocks no longer get accidentally corrupted, which ensures all parts of a file system remain
accessible to all applications.
•
The Edit Bond Mode window of the ASCII Installation Wizard was revised to more clearly explain
the available bond modes so users can better determine which one to use.
•
The FMT has been updated to discover all attached disk drives and report their current firmware
versions. Previously, the FMT displayed an error message that a disk drive was unsupported or
unknown if the firmware for that disk drive was not included in the FMT.
•
When running ibrix_fsck in corrective mode, the utility no longer fails with the error SIGSEGV,
Segmentation fault. This error occurred in rare situations where an inode had an unique
set of external attribute blocks and therefore, when any other inodes were not found to have these
blocks, the utility would fail.
•
If a failover/failback occurs during simultaneous heavy I/O on a quota-enabled NFS export and
an SMB share, the failover/failback completes successfully. Previously, the failover/failback did
not complete successfully and caused the server to hang, which required a reboot.
•
The HP-SMB shutdown process now has a timed wait period for all I/O to complete. If I/O is not
completed within the wait period, the HP-SMB service automatically begins a clean shutdown
and restart. Previously, the HP-SMB service could become stuck if the service was manually stopped
during heavy I/O. The service could fail to restart in this scenario, and I/O would stop, which
resulted in users having to manually shut down the service.
•
The StoreAll OS Software was updated to ensure scheduled native snapshots are taken as planned.
Previously, an issue occurred in the snapshot process (information about a scheduled snapshot
task was retrieved incorrectly), which caused the scheduled snapshot to fail.

When you add an ACL to the share root, the Advanced Security Settings window for the newly
created folder on the share root will no longer display duplicate ACL entries (due to inheritable
and exclusive permissions). The fix ensures that the folder is checked for an inheritable permission
first, and if so, an exclusive permission is not created. The duplicate entries did not cause problems
except for consuming additional storage space in the ACL repository.
•
Updated the firmware and driver versions of the X9720 G6 LOM NC532i Network adapter to
fix an issue with an MDC/MDIO access timeout message that previously displayed.
•
A server failure no longer occurs when simultaneous DCN (directory change notification)
registrations occur on the same file or directory.

created folder on the share root will no longer display duplicate ACL entries (due to inheritable

When you execute the ibrix_quota command on a Linux 6.x client, the command output for
hard and soft limits is now reported correctly and is the same as when executing the command
on a StoreAll node. Previously, the hard and soft limits that were reported on the Linux 6.x client
were incorrect.
