It blinks while the flash is being charged. If the subject is closer than approx. 0.7 m (2.3 ft.), the green LED does not light even when you press the Shutter Release button, and the shutter cannot be released. Note that you may still take a picture even if the camera-tosubject distance is extremely short or out of the control range of the camera. However, the focus may not be sharp.
