Wiring diagram code: FA51T40_A Models CGB-3001 15 Cooktop & Installation Manual Model COGB ENGLISH 16 Conversion LP Gas Converting Appliance for Use with LP Gas WARNING Conversion is to be performed by a AUTHORIZED SERVICER (or other qualified agency) in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. Failure to follow instructions could result in serious injury or property damage. The qualified agency performing this work assumes responsibility for this conversion. WARNING Electrical power and gas must be turned off prior to conversion. If this appliance should be converted for use with gas LP (propane or butane), each of the following modification must be performed: Replace all Injectors 1. Remove the grates and burner caps. 2. Remove aluminum gas spreader. 3. Loosen injectors by turning 9-32" nut driver counterclockwise. 4. Change the NG injectors with the LP injectors supplied with this appliances .The injectors have small numbers stamped on the side, this number codes the orifice diameter and its correct burner location. 5. Install the 4 injector in the appropriate burner turning clockwise to tighten (Tighten to a torque of 15 to 20 inch-lbs). Carefully install the injector in the appropriate burner, following the illustrations below. 6. Replace aluminum gas spreader, burner caps and grates. 7. Shut off the gas supply to the cooktop by closing the manual shut-off valve. Adjust the pressure regulator, by following the instructions (see figure 19): • Unscrew the cap. • Place your thumb against the flat side of the spring retainer and press down to remove the retainer. • Carefully look at the spring retainer to locate the NG or LP position. • Turn the spring retainer over so that LP is showing on the bottom. • Snap the retainer back into position. 020 CAP GASKET NG POSITION LP / PROPANE POSITION PRESSURE REGULATOR Figure 19. Pressure regulator conversion To Convert Appliance for Use with NG If this appliance has been converted for use with LP gas, each of the following modifications must be performed to convert the unit back to natural gas (NG). 1. REPLACE ALL LP INJECTORS with NG injectors following the steps described on previous page, observe the number stamped on the side, this number codes the orifice diameter and its correct burner location see figure 20 (save the injectors removed from the appliances for future use). 2. INVERT CAP IN APPLIANCE PRESSURE REGULATOR following the steps described on the previous page carefully look at the spring retainer to locate the NG position (see figure 19). 3.
