Pathmaker Messages
Reference object not in context: name
Cause. You deleted an object from the requester context that is referred to on either a
Record Instance Detail screen or on the Requester Parameters screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. Requester generation, default screen creation, or simulation fails.
Recovery. Remove the reference object from the Record Instance Detail screen or from
the Requester Parameters screen, as needed. Alternatively, you could add the object to
the Requester Context screen.
Reference object type/size do not match: name
Cause. If you received the message on the CALL Parameter Definition screen, the data
type or size of the parameter in the Pass Reference Object Name field does not match
the data type or size of the parameter in the To Reference Object Name field.
If you received the message on the SEND Parameter Definition screen, the data type or
size of the parameter in the Field of Reference Object field does not match the data
type or size of the parameter in the Formal Parameter of Service.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Change either parameter list so that they have the same data type and size.
If you received the message on the CALL Parameter Definition screen, you can change
the Pass Reference Object parameter on this screen. If you want to change any of the
values in the To Reference Object Name column, you must update the Requester
Parameters screen of the called requester.
If you received the message on the SEND Parameter Definition screen, you can change
the Field of Reference Object column on this screen. If you want to change any of the
values in the Formal Parameter of Service column, you must update the IPC Definition
screen for the service being invoked.
Referenced requester does not exist: referenced-req-name
Cause. You specified a CALL to a requester that does not exist.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Requester generation fails.
Recovery. Add the requester to the project catalog or change the call to a requester that
is already defined.
