Installation
The screen displays the parameter assignment entries you have made in your
INSTINI file. Verify the parameters are as expected. If you need to make some
changes, you can do so now by pressing E (or in a different terminal window
you can edit the INSTINI file and then press R to review your changes),
otherwise enter 'C' to continue to the next step.
STEP 2 - Create a DEFINE file and a SAR SQL catalog (if necessary):

The CS-TP-SPY installation procedure will now do some basic consistency
checking concerning the parameters you have chosen. If we find an
inconsistency, we will tell you and give you a chance to change the value.

By pressing V you can view the log file using TEDIT mentioning all files that
are already in the system. Press E to edit the INSTINI file using TEDIT again
and set all parameters to your desired specification or edit the INSTINI file
from another terminal window and then press R to review the new settings.
Press C to continue, A to abort, 1-5 to go to step 1-5, V to view log,
R to review INSTINI, E to edit INSTINI>
Step 2 is performed in two parts. First, some consistency checking regarding
the SQL catalog location parameter and the SAR installation
$volume.subvolume are performed. Also the installation subvolume is checked
for emptiness. If the subvolume contains files of an old SAR installation a
warning will be displayed.
Select 'C' to continue. In the second part of this step, the HP NonStop SQL
catalog parameter will be used to either create or verify existence of the
specified catalog. The SQL catalog subvolume is displayed to verify
correctness as shown below. The catalog subvolume is also stored as a
DEFINE obeyfile in your installation subvolume.

Now the installation procedure will take care of the database issues. It will
first create a DEFINE obeyfile. Depending on the settings of your INSTINI file
it will create a SQL catalog or show the catalog files of the existing catalog
you intended to use.
